Jay Leno Hospitalised

Jay Leno was hospitalized Thursday after complaining he wasn't feeling well, his rep confirms to Usmagazine.com.

"Jay Leno is doing just fine," an NBC rep told Us. "He was kidding around with the hospital staff and running his monologue jokes by the doctors and the nurses. He’s expected back to work on Monday."

Although some sites reported that Leno returned home to rest, the Associated Press confirm that the Tonight Show host checked in to a hospital in Burbank, California, around midday and remains admitted "for observation."

The scheduled taping for tonight's episode was canceled, NBC officials confirmed. Scheduled guests were X-Men Origins: Wolverine actor Ryan Reynolds, celebrity animal trainer Jules Sylvester and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

"A repeat of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno will air tonight as Mr. Leno is not feeling well," his rep told Us in a statement.

Leno, who turns 59 on Tuesday, plans to return to the show next week.

Leno's last Tonight Show will be Friday, May 29. The network announced in December that he will then move to prime time to host a new variety show at 10 p.m. on weeknights.
